§00Bill calculator

Know the bill before you build.

Answer five questions about your video workload. We'll size the right Streamlet plan, show the monthly bill, and price the exact same workload on Mux, Cloudflare Stream, Bunny, Gumlet and a self-assembled AWS stack.

§06The comparison

The same workload, five bills.

Every provider below is charged the identical library, watch time and encoding load. Streamlet's line is a plan price; everyone else's is metered, which is why it moves when you touch the sliders.

Lower is better. Metered providers are shown at list rates before any negotiated discount or free tier.

What happens when the audience grows

Monthly bill as plays scale from a quarter of today's traffic to twenty times it, with the library held constant. Streamlet steps only when storage or captions force a tier change — never when traffic does.

Where the storage actually goes

How we size storage

Every upload is encoded into a full adaptive ladder, so stored bytes are the sum of all rungs plus 5% for segment containers, thumbnails and caption tracks. These are average CRF bitrates, not the peak caps in the encoder config — billing on peaks would overstate every figure here by roughly 40%.

2160p12.00 Mbps
1440p5.00 Mbps
1080p2.20 Mbps
720p1.20 Mbps
480p0.65 Mbps
360p0.35 Mbps
How we size delivery

Adaptive bitrate means most viewers never sit on the top rendition. Delivered bytes are weighted across the ladder — roughly 45% of watch time at the top rung, 28% one below, then 15 / 8 / 3 / 1 — rather than assuming everyone streams at maximum quality. Charging peak quality is the most common way a calculator inflates a competitor's bill.

Your current mix works out to 1.51 Mbps average, or 0.66 GB per hour watched.

What this estimate is not
  • Third-party rates are list prices collected in August 2026. Vendors change them, and most will discount at volume.
  • Free tiers, committed-use discounts and regional egress premiums are not modelled.
  • USD-priced vendors are converted at a fixed ₹88 to the dollar so the page doesn't move under you.
  • The AWS column excludes the engineering time to build, monitor and keep the pipeline running — in practice the largest line item.
  • Streamlet's own prices come straight from our pricing page and exclude GST or local tax.
